This policy explains what personal information The Spray Market collects, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to thespraymarket.com and to our dealings with you as a customer.

1. Who is responsible

2. Information we collect

Information you give us — name, company, job title, billing and delivery address, email address, telephone and mobile number, tax exemption certificates, purchase orders, and anything you write in an enquiry or message.
Order and account information — what you bought, when, quantities, pricing tier, order history, returns and warranty claims, and credit or payment terms status.
Payment information — card payments are processed by our payment provider. We receive a confirmation, the card type and the last four digits. We do not store full card numbers or security codes on our systems.
Technical information — IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring site, and cookie identifiers.

3. Why we use it

To take, process, ship and invoice your orders, and to arrange freight and delivery.
To provide parts identification, quotes, technical support and warranty administration.
To operate your account, apply your pricing tier, and apply your tax exemption status.
To calculate and remit sales tax, and to keep the records that tax and business law require.
To detect and prevent fraud, and to secure the site.
To send you service messages about orders you have placed — order confirmations, shipping notices, backorder updates, safety and recall notices. These are not marketing and we send them regardless of your marketing preferences.
To send you marketing by email and text message, where you have agreed — new products, price changes, promotions, stock arrivals and trade offers. See section 5.

4. Cookies

We use cookies that are necessary for the site to work — keeping you signed in, remembering your cart, and applying your pricing. We also use analytics cookies to understand how the site is used so we can improve it. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but the store may not function correctly without the necessary ones.

5. Email and text message marketing

We only send marketing email and text messages to people who have agreed to receive them — for example by ticking the consent box on our contact form or when registering an account, or by telling us in writing.

Consent is not a condition of purchase. You can buy from us without agreeing to marketing.
Email: every marketing email has an unsubscribe link. You can also email info@thespraymarket.com and ask us to stop.
Text messages: reply STOP to any message to end them, or HELP for assistance. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Opting out of marketing does not stop transactional messages about orders you have placed.

6. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. We do share it with service providers who need it to do work for us, and only for that purpose:

Payment processing and fraud screening.
Parcel and freight carriers, for delivery — including your name, address and telephone number.
Manufacturers and suppliers, where a warranty claim, technical case or drop-shipment requires it.
Website hosting, email delivery, text messaging and analytics providers.
Our accountants and professional advisers.
Law enforcement or regulators where we are legally required to, or to protect our rights.

7. How long we keep it

Account and order records are kept for as long as your account is active and afterwards for as long as tax, warranty, product-liability and business-record requirements demand. Marketing consent records are kept for as long as you remain subscribed and for a period afterwards so we can evidence that consent was given and honoured. Enquiries from non-customers are kept for a reasonable period and then deleted.

8. How we protect it

We use administrative, technical and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information, including encrypted connections to this site, restricted access on a need-to-know basis, and a payment provider that keeps card data off our systems. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your choices and rights

Access and correction — you can see and update most of your details by signing in to My Account, or ask us and we will help.
Opt out of marketing — as described in section 5, at any time.
Deletion — you can ask us to delete your personal information. We may have to keep some of it to meet tax, warranty and product-safety record-keeping obligations, and we will tell you if that applies.
Residents of California and other states with privacy statutes — depending on where you live you may have additional rights, including to know what we collect, to request deletion or correction, to a copy of your information, and not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. To make a request, email info@thespraymarket.com with “Privacy request” in the subject line. We may need to verify your identity before we act.

10. Children

This is a trade site. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Other websites

We link to manufacturer sites, manuals and Safety Data Sheets hosted elsewhere. Those sites have their own privacy policies and we are not responsible for them.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date above shows the current version. If we make a material change to how we use your information, we will make that clear on this page.
